Ashley Lawrence is the Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach at Virginia State University, where she has been instrumental in building the Trojans’ program from the ground up. Now entering its third year, the team reflects Ashley’s emphasis on discipline, teamwork, and resilience, as well as her commitment to developing athletes on and off the field.

With nearly a decade of coaching experience, Ashley has guided players through competitive seasons, implemented structured training plans, and fostered a strong, positive team culture. Her leadership extends beyond game-day strategies and recruiting; she is deeply committed to mentoring student-athletes and empowering them as leaders in their communities.

Ashley’s impact has been recognized nationally through features in USA Lacrosse and HBCU GameDay, highlighting her role in advancing women’s lacrosse and expanding opportunities for players at all levels. Passionate about growing the game globally, she brings her experience, energy, and vision to every team she leads.
