At the Global Lacrosse Foundation, we believe in the power of sport to unite communities, open doors, and change lives. Around the world, lacrosse is more than just a game — it’s a movement that teaches resilience, teamwork, and hope. Today, we’re proud to stand alongside the Navy Seals Lacrosse Team in Uganda, a passionate group of young athletes who are writing their own chapter in the story of lacrosse.

Who Are the Navy Seals Lacrosse Team?

The Navy Seals Lacrosse Team was founded in Uganda with a bold dream: to bring lacrosse to boys and girls in their community and give them the chance to grow through sport. In a country where lacrosse is still young and developing, these players have shown extraordinary determination — training wherever they can, sharing equipment, and playing with unmatched passion.

Their dedication has created something far bigger than a team. It’s a family, a community, and an inspiration to everyone who believes in the power of sports to create opportunity.

What They Need

As the team grows, so do their needs. Unlike in other parts of the world, lacrosse equipment and resources aren’t available locally — everything must be shipped in. That’s where our community comes in.

The Navy Seals are seeking support to secure:

Player equipment: sticks, helmets, gloves, pads, goggles, uniforms, and bags
Team gear: goals, nets, and goalie pads
Tools for growth: a camera, laptop, projector, and storage drive to document progress and organize events
Travel funds: to support local games, clinics, and tournaments

These items aren’t luxuries — they are the building blocks for the Navy Seals to continue inspiring their community and spreading the sport across Uganda.

Our Goal

We’ve launched a GoFundMe campaign with a target of $25,000 USD. This will allow us to equip 30–40 players, provide goalie gear and nets, purchase basic technology, and cover essential travel and program costs. Every contribution — big or small — directly impacts these athletes and their ability to thrive.

Why It Matters
